The Open-Source Clash Ecosystem
The original Clash established the core workflow for configuration files, proxy groups, and rule-based routing. Clash Meta expanded protocol and configuration support, and its core is now maintained under the mihomo name. A client provides the graphical interface and system integration; the core handles proxy connections and rules. They do not share a version number. When choosing a client, check its supported platforms, bundled core, and required configuration options.
